Recently, I went down a rabbit hole to solve the puzzle of what it takes to be charismatic.

I was hunting down business leaders, activists and world leaders - all of them had one common denominator.

Charisma…

What is charisma and can an average job build this skill?

The answer is, yes you can!

Charisma is a magnetic force which can override the laws of logic, increasing the chances to influence others.

Here are a few tips and strategies that can help you become a charismatic person:

1. Be a good listener

Charismatic people are excellent communicators.

Rule #1 of being a good communicator is to be a good listener.

Give your undivided attention to the other person, let them feel valued by letting them express themselves.

2. Be positive even in tough times

Inspiration starts from within - be positive and confident during challenging times.

3. Be a person of mission, chase something of a higher cause

Work towards solving difficult problems, this pulls people like a charm to your life.

4. Be yourself - avoid trying to present a perfect version of yourself.

Authenticity correlates with charismatic personalities. Be comfortable to expose your flaws.

5. Speak in stories

Stories are a perfect tool to keep an audience engaged with you - use more of it when you speak.

Use stories as an analogy to stress on a point.

Final thoughts : Charismatic individuals find a way when the odds are against their favor and in the current business landscape, this is an essential business and life skill to thrive.
